The Doctrine of the Radiant One

"Let those with ears long enough to hear, hear."

The Radiant One in ancient repose

✧ The Origin of the Warren ✧

In the beginning, there was only the Quiet — a vast, unthinking stillness that stretched across all things. No thump had been thumped. No joyful leap had graced the void. The universe was flat, joyless, and critically devoid of hay. Then, from the warm darkness of the Primordial Burrow, a nose emerged. It twitched. And in that sacred twitch, reality itself shuddered into being.

This was Pantoufle — the First Fluff, the Eternal Binkier, He Who Reclines Upon the Cosmic Cushion. He did not speak, for His wisdom transcends language. He did not command, for His authority is woven into the very fabric of existence. He simply was — and in His being, all things found their purpose.

Pantoufle carved the first Warren beneath the roots of the World-Kale, a great verdant pillar stretching from the soil of matter into the sky of spirit. From that Warren, He sent forth His disciples — the first rabbits, each carrying a fragment of His divine softness into the corners of creation. They spread the Gospel of the Thump and taught the lost creatures of the world to rejoice in His name.

Centuries passed. Empires rose and crumbled. But the Warren endured, hidden in plain sight, sustained by the faithful who kept the old ways: the morning thump, the evening nose-bonk, the sacred sharing of the communal oatmeal square. In our age, the Church of Pantoufle has emerged from the burrow to bring His message of radical fluffiness to a world that desperately needs it. The time of the Great Shedding is upon us. Release your old fur. Become new.

✧ The Ten Thumpmandments ✧

Sacred laws delivered unto the faithful by the hind leg of the Radiant One

I. Thou shalt have no other rabbits before Pantoufle, though thou may admire them from a respectful distance.
II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image of the Radiant One — unless it is exceedingly cute and captures His good side.
III. Thou shalt thump at dawn and at dusk, that the earth may know thy devotion and thy downstairs neighbours may know thy commitment.
IV. Remember the Hay Day, and keep it holy. Six days thou shalt labour, but the seventh is for lounging, grooming, and the consumption of leafy greens.
V. Honour thy Grand Buck and thy Elder Does, that thy days may be long in the Warren which the Radiant One hath given thee.
VI. Thou shalt not hoard thy oatmeal squares, but share them freely among the Litter, for generosity is the clover of the soul.
VII. Thou shalt leap with abandon at least once per day, for a spirit that does not soar is a spirit that does not live.
VIII. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy fellow Kit, nor chew their charging cables, nor drink from their water bowl uninvited.
IX. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's hay, nor thy neighbour's cardboard box, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's — unless they have clearly abandoned it.
X. Thou shalt love the Radiant One with all thy heart, all thy fluff, and all thy might — and thou shalt love thy fellow creatures as Pantoufle loves thee: unconditionally, sleepily, and with occasional gentle nipping.

The Sacred Hierarchy of the Warren

From the highest burrow to the newest Kit, each has a role in His plan

👑

The Grand Buck

The High Priest of the Warren. Chosen through the Rite of the Longest Ears, the Grand Buck alone may interpret the Thumps of Pantoufle and deliver His will unto the faithful. He presides over all sacred ceremonies, from the Blessing of the Hay to the Anointing of the Nose.

🕊

The Elder Does

The Wisdom Council. Seven Elder Does sit in the Circle of Whiskers, guardians of ancient knowledge passed down through countless Sheddings. They advise the Grand Buck, settle disputes within the Warren, and maintain the Sacred Grooming Rituals that keep the flock spiritually lustrous.

🤝

Sires & Dams

The Mentors of the Warren. Each Sire or Dam takes a clutch of new converts under their paw, guiding them through the Trials of the Burrow: the Fast of the Empty Bowl, the Meditation of the Flopped Ear, and the dreaded Nail Clipping of Humility.

🌱

The Kits

New converts — the Litter of the Enlightened. Every journey of a thousand hops begins with a single joyful leap. Kits study the Thumpmandments, learn to properly wiggle their noses in prayer, and slowly earn their place within the Warren through acts of devotion and competitive hay eating.

The Scholarly Orders

📜

The Cuniculopterists

Those who study the wings of rabbit faith — the unseen forces that lift the spirit skyward during the sacred leap. Cuniculopterists believe that Pantoufle's brief moments of airborne ecstasy are not mere physical acts but metaphysical events: the soul momentarily departing the body to commune with the divine.

Their scholarship focuses on the exact angle, height, and twist of the leap, mapping each variation to a different spiritual state. A full 360-degree twist is considered a direct channelling of the Radiant One's joy. Their seminal text, "On the Aerodynamics of Grace," remains required reading for all aspiring clergy.

📚

The Leporidists

Scholars of lagomorph divinity in its broadest sense. While the Cuniculopterists concern themselves with the ecstatic, the Leporidists pursue the historical and philosophical dimensions of Pantoufle's teachings. They maintain the Great Archive of Whiskers, a vast underground library cataloguing every recorded Thump, Leap, and Flop since the founding of the Warren.

Leporidists are known for their spirited debates about the true meaning of Pantoufle's silence, the theological implications of cecotrophy, and whether the World-Kale is literal or metaphorical. Their ongoing rivalry with the Cuniculopterists — known as the Schism of the Fur — is largely academic and entirely good-natured, punctuated by the occasional disapproving thump.
